Day 1|Arrival in Windhoek

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, guests will be welcomed by a Dune Eagle Tours representative and transferred to Windhoek.
After check-in, enjoy time to relax and recover from your international flight before experiencing one of Namibia’s most famous dining venues.

Windhoek offers the perfect introduction to Namibia, combining African culture, German colonial heritage and modern city life. The evening dinner at Joe’s Beerhouse is considered a must-do experience for visitors, famous for its lively atmosphere and selection of traditional Namibian game meats including springbok, oryx and zebra.

Day 2|Windhoek → Quiver Tree Forest

Travel south through Namibia’s vast open landscapes towards Keetmanshoop.
In the afternoon, visit the famous Quiver Tree Forest and enjoy sunset photography and one of Africa’s finest stargazing experiences.

Today's Highlights

The Quiver Tree Forest is one of Namibia’s most iconic natural landmarks, home to hundreds of ancient aloe trees that can live for more than 200 years. As the sun sets, the trees cast dramatic silhouettes across the desert landscape, creating exceptional photography opportunities.
After dark, guests experience one of the world’s most remarkable night skies. The region is renowned among international astrophotographers for its crystal-clear views of the Milky Way, Southern Cross and Magellanic Clouds. Numerous award-winning nightscape photographs have been captured beneath these ancient trees.

Day 3|Quiver Tree Forest → Sossusvlei

After breakfast, continue north towards the Namib Desert, travelling through some of Namibia’s most remote and spectacular scenery.
Arrive in the Sossusvlei region during the afternoon and enjoy the changing colours of the dunes as sunset approaches.

The Namib Desert is widely recognised as the oldest desert on Earth, estimated to be over 55 million years old. The immense dunes surrounding Sossusvlei create one of Africa’s most dramatic landscapes. As evening light sweeps across the desert, the dunes transform into brilliant shades of gold, orange and crimson red.
